Client Counts
Client counts have been increased. Pro licenses have gone from 1 to 10 clients and Ultimate licenses have gone from 5 to unlimited.
User Interfaces
Virtually all user interfaces have been updated for the modern look and feel implemented for the Project Explorer and Template Studio in the previous version.
Template Studio
Default Settings
When creating a new template, you can now specify some default settings that are then used throughout the template design process. Things like the time period in the history data group, report names, and schedule triggers can all be defaulted based on these settings.
Right-click Options
Within the sheet itself, there are right-click options available to speed up template design. These include direct access to a connection, to a data group itself as well as to the configuration of commonly used data management connections with many settings defaulted based on the connection in the cell.
Report Names
The Report Names dialog has been completely revamped to help make this easier to configure for most users. All the settings that have always been available are still available, however for most users, this should be a much easier setup.
Schedule
When accessing the schedule from within the Template Studio, only schedule lines that pertain to the template are displayed, rather than the entire schedule for the project.
Template Library
All the user interface changes applied to the Template Studio are also available in the Template Library including report names and schedule design.
Schedule Designer
The Schedule Designer has been completely revamped to make for an easier experience. Schedules are now organized by template with all the schedule lines for that template
Connectors
All Historian Connectors
When a connector is created for a historical data source, you now have the option to automatically check out some commonly used library templates to use straight out-of-the-box. All of these templates are designed to use on-demand either on the local system or across the network.
Rockwell Automation FactoryTalk Optix Data Log InFluxDB Historical Values
New historical connector to retrieve data from data logs set up in FactoryTalk Optix to an InFlux DB. Summary calculations and raw data are available.
Rockwell Automation FactoryTalk View Data Agent Historian SE
The Import tab has been added to this connector. Using it, you can import tag lists exported as CSV files from the PI System and save those CSV files as Catalogs. This allows for easy offline browsing and can accommodate systems with a large amount of tags.
Improvements and Issues Fixed
Template Studio
For formatting, the Advanced button is now always visible in the format dialog.
Rockwell Automation FactoryTalk View DataLogPro Historical Values
Raw Data Retrieval
Corrected an issue with raw data where if the model was started and stopped within the time period requested, a single empty record with a timestamp of Jan 1st 1900 would appear.
Tag Names
Tag names that contain “::” were not returning any values nor were they reloading correctly in the data groups. This has been corrected but will require the tags to be re-browsed in existing groups.
Email/SMTP
SMTP servers with no encryption are now supported.
Web Portal
Corrected issue where disabling downloads for On-Demand Reports would also disable downloads for scheduled reports.
