Transfer the license

For XLReporter version 16

See the Move a License section in the XLReporter Product Registration document. This will provide information on how to transfer your license whether you are on an online or offline machine.

For Older versions (15.01 and below)

A valid Customer Care Plan is REQUIRED

Once you have ensured that the license to be transferred has a valid CC plan, please follow the instructions below:

Fill out the XLReporter Software Registration form and select 15.01 and below for the XLReporter Software Version for the license you are transferring.

The form will require you to provide the Serial Number of the package, the Transfer Code, and the Lock code on the new machine. Once this has been completed, you will be issued a new Key number to register the new machine.

  1. Obtain the Serial Number

    1. Open the Project Explorer

    2. In v12 to 15.01, the serial number is found in the bottom right pane.

    3. In v11 and below, the serial number is found on the right pane.

    4. Make a note of your Serial Number before proceeding.

  2. Obtain the Transfer Code

    1. In Registration, select Options, Move Registration. This gives you the Transfer Code. Write this down before proceeding.

  3. Obtain the Lock Code

    1. On the new machine, open Registration.

    2. v12 to 15.01: From the Project Explorer, select the Home tab and open Register Product.

    3. v11 and below: From the Project Explorer, right-click the Registration folder and Open.

    4. Fill out the information and click Start Trial. Return to Registration and click Enter Key. This will display the Lock Code.
