Macao Water wanted to monitor the sophisticated control systems in its water and wastewater treatment facilities. To obtain peace of mind and compatibility with its system, Macao Water looked to long-time alarm notification provider WIN-911.
Half a Million People Rely on WIN-911
Serving more than 500,000 people, over 90% of Macao’s water comes from the West River’s Modaomen Channel in the Zhuhai City, China. Raw water, i.e. water before it is treated, is pumped from the Hong Wan Pumping Station to the Lapa Storage Reservoir in Zhuhai. Surplus water is stored in Shedikeng, Yinkeng and Nanping reservoirs for emergency and salinity regulation during the dry seasons. Macao Water provides water and wastewater treatment and distribution of drinking water from these groundwater sources as well as wastewater treatment facilities.
Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant Wanted to Monitor Alarm Conditions
Macao Water needed to monitor the sophisticated control system in their facilities for alarms and wanted the ability to notify department personnel, both individuals and groups, in the event of an emergency. Finding a secure solution for early notification from a dedicated provider was a key component in meeting the efficiency goals and water standards set by Macao Water.
