Built for the infrastructure and data centers people depend on every day
From smart buildings like airports, hotels, hospitals, schools, to the technology infrastructure like data centers and power plants, SmartSights equips the teams responsible for these critical infrastructures to discover problems early and account for their operations when it matters.
Trusted by 30,000+ industrial customer across the globe.
When downtime affects more than the operations team
Infrastructure and essential systems support people, services, and facilities that cannot simply wait for the next shift. When alarms are missed, information is scattered, or reporting takes too long, small issues can become costly disruptions. Better access to alarms, reports, and operational data helps teams respond sooner and document what happened.
Reach the right person, no matter which system raised the alarm
WIN-911 uses native connections to SCADA, HMI, or DCS, along with OPC standards to deliver one consistent alarm experience across systems of any age or vendor. There is no custom integration project and no need to replace working equipment, and every alarm reaches the right person the same way.
Turn operational data into reports without rebuilding everything
Technology and Public infrastructure is asked to prove things like whether a power plant met its ouput targets, or if a facility’s uptime help up over the last quarter. Connect to existing SCADA, historians, and databases to automate uptime, inspection, maintenance, and compliance reports in familiar formats. Eliminate manual Excel spreadsheets and get instant, accurate data, reducing compilation and re-entry.
Keep alarms and reports within reach
Data Center, Building management and Infrastructure teams are rarely in one place. A technician might be on a bridge deck, in a substation, walking a school’s mechanical room, or checking a cooling unit in a data hall — none of them are at a console when something needs attention. Extend visibility into these systems to phones, tablets, and desktops for technicians and managers in the field or after hours. Teams can acknowledge alarms, review information, and stay connected without a fixed workstation.
What SmartSights customers say
Power to the people at Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport
“SmartSights, WIN-911’s user interface is quite easy to understand and helps us a lot in on-site commissioning jobs. Even if you didn’t know WIN-911 software, you will not need a long time to master it.”

What is an example of critical infrastructure?
Critical infrastructure includes systems vital to public safety and economic security: power grids, water treatment plants, airports, transportation networks, and data centers. SmartSights offers alarm management and reporting software for these demanding environments. -
Will WIN-911 and XLReporter work with the control
systems and data sources we already have?Yes, in almost all cases. Both products connect through native, platform-specific interfaces to major SCADA, HMI, and historian platforms, including AVEVA, Rockwell, GE, Ignition, and Schneider, and fall back on open standards where a native connection isn't available. WIN-911 uses OPC for live tag data and alarms and events, while XLReporter uses OPC along with OLE DB and ODBC to read from SCADA systems, historians, and relational databases such as a LIMS. That means you can get consistent alarm notification and reporting across systems of any age or vendor, with no need to replace equipment that still works. -
How does XLReporter handle the reporting
we're required to produce?XLReporter connects to your SCADA, historian, and other data sources to build recurring reports automatically, including regulatory filings, inspection and maintenance logs, and uptime and incident summaries. Manual readings, such as inspections, are captured in electronic forms instead of paper, so they flow into the same report. Reports can also be generated on demand from a browser or desktop client. -
Can one system cover facilities as different
as a power plant, a school, and a data center?Yes. WIN-911 is a platform-agnostic notification layer that connects to whatever SCADA, HMI, or supervisory monitoring platform each facility already runs. Operators get the same notification and acknowledgment experience regardless of the underlying system, which matters even more for organizations with a diverse portfolio. -
How does licensing work, and what happens
if a renewal slips?WIN-911 and XLReporter are both available as a subscription, which includes Customer Care and version upgrades and renews automatically unless you give notice, or as a perpetual license. If a WIN-911 license lapses, the runtime keeps running and notifications still go out, but configuration access is disabled and routing falls back to notifying all contacts on every alarm. XLReporter behaves similarly: scheduled reports keep running, interactive access is disabled, and reports are watermarked to flag that the license needs attention. -
Do we need special hardware to receive alerts?
For most deployments, no. SMS and voice through a cloud service, email, and mobile push run over your existing network connection and a configured service account, with nothing new to install on-site. Hardware is only needed if you specifically want delivery over an analog phone line or a dedicated cellular modem instead of a cloud or VoIP path. -
Would this approach also apply
to data center operations?Yes. Data centers depend on continuous monitoring, rapid alarm response, and accurate operational reporting. Where existing monitoring or control systems expose compatible data, SmartSights extends notification, reporting, and mobile access without wholesale system replacement.
