Since its initial release, WIN-911’s alarm notification software has been specified for use in various building management systems across a broad spectrum of industry sectors, including food production, aquariums, libraries, and many others. Recently, WIN-911’s software was installed to monitor systems in the newly rebuilt World Trade Center in New York City.
In late 2002, plans were announced for the major rebuild of one New York City’s most iconic landmarks. The project included five skyscrapers, a museum, a transportation hub, retail space and more—all connected by advanced safety and communications systems. This multi-site project required the design, procurement and implementation of a world-class first responder communications infrastructure in order to provide safe, effective and reliable public safety and property management radio services.
WIN-911 worked with Pinnacle Wireless to create a communications system for the iconic landmark. Pinnacle Wireless, a communications solutions provider, ensured that the entire site was equipped with uninterruptible cellular and WiFi service in order to enable complete coverage. WIN-911 implemented the email interface for the First Responder Radio System at the new World Trade Center and is responsible for notifying personnel of potential threats.
As the world’s most widely used alarm notification software, WIN-911 is honored to be a part of this expansive and memorable project.
